Machine Implement Codes-1730
To find the machine implement code, start with the basic machine code and add the code for each additional equipment item over the basic machine code. Attachments such as the cast closing wheels are the difference for that attachment over the basic equipment.
The basic codes are for the larger frame size. For example, the 9-row code is for the 9-row 46, 48 or 51 cm (18, 19 or 20 in.) spacing. The 9-row 38 cm (15 in.) basic code is slightly lower. The marker codes are for the larger frame sizes.

Codes for seed in all the rows are higher than for seed and granular chemical on only the 76 cm to 102 cm (30 in. to 40 in.) rows. For this reason, the granular chemical codes are not listed.

Example:
A 1700 six-row machine with 76 cm (30 in.) rows equipped with an insecticide and herbicide attachment without lift-assist wheels. The chart, shows an implement code of 188 for the basic machine. Add to this an implement code of 63 for the insecticide and herbicide attachments. This gives a total implement code of 188 + 63, or 251.
