Leveling 12-Row Machines

1. Drive tractor and machine onto level ground. Lower to planting position while driving forward.

2. Adjust drive-gauge wheels (A) until machine frame is 510 mm to 560 mm (20 in. to 22 in.) above ground. (Unit parallel arms should be parallel with ground.)

Adjust drive-gauge wheels as follows:

a. Loosen nut (B).

b. Turn adjusting bolt (C) clockwise to raise wheel and lower machine frame.

c. Turn adjusting bolt (C) counterclockwise to lower wheel and raise machine frame.

d. Tighten nut (B) against casting (D) to prevent bolt (C) from rotating.

NOTE: Raise machine to transport position before adjusting cylinder stops.

NOTE: Extra stops (C) can be stored on the machine.

3. Level frame front-to-rear with lift assist wheel cylinder stops (A).

4. Lower machine to ground and check to be sure parallel arms (B) are parallel with the ground. Adjust cylinder stops and/or drive-gauge wheels as needed.
