Hitch Controlled Lift Assist Wheels (55-60 Series Tractors)
IMPORTANT:
Tractor must be equipped with hitch controlled lift assist wheel components (see your John Deere dealer for installation instructions [A56678-F6]).
Hoses may become pinched or cut when raising or lowering machine. Move all hoses clear of any pinch points.
NOTE:
This system allows the lift assist wheels to be operated by oil flow from the hitch.
The markers can be hooked to the lift system for automatic operation (see your John Deere dealer).
This system can only be installed on machines with drive gauge wheels mounted to the rear and equipped with either a pivoting center mast or rigid mast with top pin removed (can not be used on 12-row 56 cm [22 in.] machines). Lift assist wheel-hitch control attachment allows the machine to be raised and lowered with the rockshaft control lever. Lift assist cylinders are single acting with this system, the lift assist wheels remain in contact with the ground at all times.
