Replacing Marker Breakaway Bolt

NOTE: Extra shear bolts are located on the inside of marker door.

The marker breakaway bolt (A) provides breakaway protection when the marker hits an obstacle.

To replace the breakaway bolt, proceed as follows:

1. Raise the marker arm.

2. Insert new breakaway bolt (M8 x 100).

3. Use wrench to remove nut (A) securing large bolt to frame.

NOTE: Be certain flat sides (C) of large bolt are in slot in pivot and new bolt is squarely and fully seated.

Slide large bolt (A) over breakaway bolt and secure with nuts. Tighten first nut (B) and use second nut as a jam nut.

Swing marker assembly to frame and insert breakaway bolt through hole in machine frame.

Secure breakaway bolt with M24 nut. Snug (do not overtighten) M24 nut against frame. Position marker wrench in storage location, which also secures M24 nut.
