Using Warning Lights and SMV

causym CAUTION: When transporting the machine on a road or highway at night or during the day, use accessory lights and devices for adequate warning to operators of other vehicles. Check local governmental regulations. Various safety devices are available from your John Deere dealer. Keep safety items in good condition. Replace missing or damaged items.

Amber warning lights should be installed at the widest points of the seeding tool. Red tail lamps should be located at the rear of the combined machines.

For maximum machine visibility, be sure warning and tail lights (A), reflectors and SMV sign (B) are clean.

A lighting enhancement module (C) has been incorporated into the 1910 Cart lighting circuit. This module causes the red tail lights to function as turn signals. During normal transport, both amber warning lights will flash in unison at high intensity, and both red tail lamps will illuminate steady at low intensity. When a turn is signaled, the red tail lamp in the direction of the turn will flash at high intensity and in unison with the amber warning lamp. The opposite side amber and red lamps will illuminate steady at high intensity.
