Attach Tow-Behind Hitch Brackets
IMPORTANT:
It is critical to lubricate cap screw (C) threads AND nuts before installation, to prevent component failure and ensure proper torque.
1.
Lubricate threads of cap screws (C) AND nuts with motor oil or similar lubricant before installation.
IMPORTANT:
Hitch brackets (A) should be installed equal distances from the machine centerline. Bracket locations can vary between machines due to opener locations (row spacings) and interference with rear bar components.
The spacers are manufactured to a specific length that is critical for hitch durability. Spacers provided must not be altered or substituted.
Hardware must be installed as shown with nuts facing towards rear of machine.
NOTE:
Leave hardware loose until instructed to tighten.
Straps (B) have three holes. Ends with two holes should be positioned on bottom.
Install bracket (A) in previously marked location.
2.
Attach hitch brackets (A) (as shown) to rear frame bar, equal distances from machine centerline. Use straps (B), M24 x 200 cap screws (C), spacers (D), washers (E) and lock nuts. Leave hardware loose until instructed to tighten.
