Cleaning Dry Fertilizer Hoppers

Disconnect couplers from augers by removing cotter pins and drilled pins (A).

Remove clamps and disconnect fertilizer hoses (A) from hoppers.

Remove hopper lock-down bolts (A).

If equipped with auger fill attachment, loosen U-bolts (A) on auger tube supports.

If equipped with auger fill attachment, remove marker anchor (A) from left-hand marker (B) and lower marker to the ground.

Pivot auger tube (C) rearward.

Release lid fasteners and slide lids (A) rearward until they hang on edge of hopper.

Tip hoppers (A) forward and flush all loose fertilizer from hoppers and tubes with water. Check inside of each auger housing on ends of tanks.

If necessary, clean with a wire brush.

Pivot hoppers back to operating position and replace lids.

Replace couplers on augers and secure with drilled pins and cotter pins.

Fasten hopper by replacing lock-down bolts and lock nuts.

Fasten hoses to hoppers with clamps.

Pivot auger fill tube into position over hoppers and tighten U-bolts.

Raise left-hand marker to vertical position and install anchor and clip.
