Operating the Squeeze Pump
The rate of liquid fertilizer application is determined by:

Regular or low-rate metering pump hoses (A).

Position of the driver and driven gears (B).

Fertilizer transmission sprocket combination.

To operate squeeze pump, turn handle (A) in as far as possible.
When squeeze pump is not in use, turn handle out until there is approximately 25 mm (1 in.) gap (B) between handle and groove.

If planting without applying liquid fertilizer is desired, close shut-off valves (A) to metering pumps.
Disengage pump drive as follows:

Remove quick-lock pin.

Remove and reverse lower gear (A) to prevent wear on gears and metering pump.

Install quick-lock pin.

If planter is going to set overnight with liquid fertilizer in the tanks, close shut-off valves (A) to metering pump(s) to eliminate possible fertilizer flow through pump due to siphoning.
