Aligning Chemical Meter Drive
1.
Check and adjust alignment of drive assembly (A) and side panel hole. Assembly should be aligned with center of hole and tightened down. Loosening meter from bottom of hopper and aligning meter and meter drive sprocket side-to-side and fore-to aft may also be necessary. Mounting holes are large enough to allow for slight side-to-side and fore-to-aft adjustment.
2.
On machines with dual granular-chemical meters, inspect alignment of shafts. Drive should operate freely and smoothly when rotating coupler with hopper removed. To check and align a dual-meter system, chemical hoppers should be removed from row unit. Hopper should be turned upside down and meters should be checked for parallel side-to-side and fore-to-aft alignment on bottom of hopper using a straight edge.
