Converting Edible Beans Per Foot to Pounds Per Acre-Various Seed Sizes-30 In. to 40 In. Rows

A28571

Refer to above chart to convert beans per foot into pounds per acre so a sprocket combination can be determined from seed charts.

EXAMPLE:

Desired seed spacing is approximately 11 beans/ft on 38 in. rows with an approximate soybean seed size of 2600 seeds/lb (medium size).

Referring to above chart, to achieve approximately 11 beans/ft on 38 in. rows with approximately 2600 seeds/lb (medium size soybeans), a sprocket combination for 58 lb/acre will be needed.

Refer to EDIBLE BEAN WITH SOYBEAN FEED-CUP chart. A 38 in. row spacing will require the high range input sprocket with a 16-tooth driver and 25-tooth driven sprocket to produce approximately 58 lb/acre.

Rates in the chart are based on a uniform seed size sample of approximately 2600 seeds/lb and should only be used as a starting point for determining actual planting rate. Actual rate must be checked in the field at desired planting speed. See Checking Seed Population section.
