Disconnect couplers from augers by removing cotter pins and drilled pins (A).

Position new auger sections on the floor (as illustrated above) so the flights on the auger sections will carry the fertilizer to the outside ends in each hopper.

Remove cotter pins holding old auger sections on shafts and slide old auger sections off shafts.

IMPORTANT: Augers must be positioned with smaller end of taper toward center of hopper and so augers move fertilizer to spouts at ends of the hopper when the machine is moving forward.

IMPORTANT: When replacing auger sections in fertilizer hoppers, be certain auger sections are centered in the hoppers.

Determine desired fertilizer rate from charts in the Dry Fertilizer Attachment section and install auger sections on 1118 mm (44 in.) shaft as shown at right. Install 15/16 in. x 1-3/8 in. x 0.105 in. washers as required and 5 mm x 40 mm cotter pins.
