IMPORTANT: Damage to blower motor will occur if hoses are connected incorrectly. Check hydraulic connections before operating vacuum motor. See CHECKING HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS in Preparing the Vacuum Meter section.

NOTE: Motor adaptor kit (A) can be installed to eliminate surging of motor that sometimes occurs with load sensing tractor hydraulics when one tractor valve is used to control one vacuum motor. See you John Deere dealer.

NOTE: For non John Deere tractors, see dealer for vacuum motor hook-up.

Advantage series tractors have open center hydraulics with load sensing. In order to prevent excessive heat

buildup during VACUMETER ™ operation the following steps must be taken.

1. The vacuum system MUST be connected to a DELUXE 301 SERIES VALVE on the tractor.

2. Connect pressure hose (D) with planter flow control valve (B) to top SCV port.

3. Connect return hose (C) with special tip to bottom SCV port or motor return port.

IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to motor, do not return SCV lever to neutral to shut off vacuum.

Push SCV lever forward into detent position for running and push forward into "float" to shut off vacuum.
