Protecting Hydraulic Motor Seals-Low-Pressure (Case) Drain ConnectionIMPORTANT: Case drain hose (A) must be plugged into tractor OR placed in storage bracket (C) at ALL times to prevent damage to CCS fan motor seals. IMPORTANT: Fan motor case drain hose MUST be attached to low-pressure drain connection PRIOR to inlet and return hoses being connected. Case drain MUST have LESS THAN 172 kPa [1.72 bar] [25 psi] or fan motor will be damaged. IMPORTANT: Installation of a Low-Pressure Drain Line Kit is required if towing tractor is not so equipped. IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE other ports at the rear of the tractor (such as power-beyond ports) which may be similar in appearance and size to low-pressure drain port. Due to high back-pressure (over 172 kPa [1.72 bar] [25 psi]), drain connection to these ports WILL RESULT in fan motor damage. Attach fan motor case drain hose (A) to tractor low-pressure drain coupler (B) or storage bracket at all times. If case drain hose is not attached at all times, pressure fluctuations from temperature changes will damage motor seals.

IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to CCS fan motor, tractor must be equipped with a low-pressure drain connection (LESS THAN 172 kPa [1.72 bar] [25 psi]), compatible with Case Drain Connection Kits. See Case Drain Connection Kits table. IMPORTANT: Only the connection kits listed in the Case Drain Connection Kits table can be used on John Deere tractors. If low-pressure drain connection kit is already installed, ensure it matches what is listed on table. Order one of the following kits when a John Deere tractor is used, or see tractor manufacturers dealer for a suitable connection kit. NOTE: When ordering case drain connection kit for 9000 Series tractors, an AA59412 hose tip is also needed on the planter case drain hose.
