Installing Heavy-Duty Spring

NOTE: Heavy-duty spring (black) is recommended for no-till and hard soil conditions to maintain proper soil penetration.

1. Remove cap screws (D) and pins.

2. Remove nut (A).

3. Loosen cap screw (B) and remove casting (C).

4. Remove spring.

5. Install new spring onto cap screw (B).

6. Install cap screw (B) into casting (C). Install jam nut (A). Do not tighten at this time.

7. Install pins and cap screws (D).

NOTE: The 2 mm to 6 mm (0.078 in. to 0.24 in.) dimension is measured when jam nut (A) is tightened.

8. Tighten cap screw (B) until there is 2 mm to 6 mm (0.078 in. to 0.24 in.) of threads above jam nut (A).

9. Tighten nut (A).
