50-60 Series Hook-Up

A-Planter Flow Control Valves

B-Pressure Hose
C-Return Hoses

D-Case Drain Hose to Tractor

E-Hose From CCS Fan Motor Case Drain

IMPORTANT: Damage to blower motor will occur if hoses are connected incorrectly. Check hydraulic connections before operating vacuum motor. See CHECKING HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS in Preparing Vacuum Meter section.

NOTE: For non John Deere tractors, see dealer for vacuum motor hook-up.

1. Mount planter flow control valve (A) assembly on cab.

IMPORTANT: Ensure case drain hose is already connected to low pressure drain coupler.

NOTE: Case drain line is shared between fan motor and vacuum motor.

2. Insert pressure hose (B) with planter flow control valves (A) into right-hand SCV coupler.

NOTE: Return hose must be equipped with a return coupler with cap.

3. 55-60 SERIES TRACTORS: Insert return hoses (C) with special tip into left-hand SCV coupler.

IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to vacuum motor, do not return SCV lever to neutral to shut off vacuum.

ALL 55-60 SERIES TRACTORS should be equipped with a selective control valve lever stop to hold SCV lever in forward position for running. SCV lever should be pushed into "float" position to turn it off, not to neutral. The tractor flow control valve must be set to maximum and the planter flow control valve (A) used to control vacuum level.
