Vacuum Meter

IMPORTANT: If the rockshaft row units are raised to the full vertical position the fan will not operate during this cleanout procedure. For purposes of cleaning, leave the rockshaft in the field transport position or, in the case of 76 cm (30 in.) row spacing, in the locked out position.

1. Raise machine into field transport position.

2. Ensure that tractor is in park or parking brake is on.

3. Install service locks on wheel modules, ensuring that outer mainframe wheels are locked up.

4. Position Plant/Transport switch on frame control box in Neutral or Transport position.

causym CAUTION: Avoid injury of bystanders. If the rockshaft row units are raised and not locked out with the cylinder service or storage locks , placing the SCV into the lower position will cause the rockshafts to lower.

NOTE: Since Plant/Transport switch is in neutral position or transport position, frame will not lower.

5. Position frame lift SCV into retract detent position.

NOTE: Fan is off since frame is up. The row unit switch keeps fan disabled.
