Folding Machine

causym CAUTION: Be certain everyone is clear of the machine.

Serious injury or death can result from contact with electric lines. Use care when moving or operating this machine near electric lines to avoid contact.

NOTE: Use firm, level ground when possible to make unfolding easier. Tractor must be in neutral to allow the tractor to roll slightly when unfolding.

Machine can "bulldoze" soil when folding in loose soil conditions. In very soft soil conditions, it may be necessary to "power" the tractor forward to prevent this bulldozing.

Machine will not fold with the rear rows raised.

Markers will not extend and CCS fan will not operate when machine is folded.

1. With control console in PLANT, engage SCV to lower machine. This will level (rephase) machine.

2. Raise machine to field transport position.

3. Place control console to TRANS.

4. Place tractor in neutral.

NOTE: The hitch height may need to be varied to allow latch hooks to cross hitch tube.

5. Raise three point hitch until about level.

6. Hold FOLD button on control console and engage SCV to fold machine.

7. When completely folded, raise hitch to engage latch hooks onto hitch tube.

8. Hold ROW LIFT button and engage SCV to raise rear rank row units.

9. Hold WING WHEELS button and engage SCV to raise machine to high lift position. The wing wheels are retracted and main frame wheels extend.
