Unfolding Machine

causym CAUTION: Be certain everyone is clear of the machine.

Serious injury or death can result from contact with electric lines. Use care when moving or operating this machine near electric lines to avoid contact.

NOTE: Use firm, level ground when possible to make unfolding easier. Tractor must be in neutral to allow the tractor to roll slightly when unfolding.

Machine can "bulldoze" soil when unfolding in loose soil conditions. In very soft soil conditions, it may be necessary to "power" the tractor rearward to prevent this bulldozing.

Machine will not unfold with the rear rows raised.

Markers will not extend and CCS fan will not operate when machine is folded.

1. Place tractor in neutral.

2. Place control console to TRANS.

3. Press and hold ROW LIFT switch and activate SCV to raise rockshafts.

4. Remove service locks and store on frame.

5. Lower wing rockshafts.

NOTE: It is normal for wing rockshafts to lower anytime circuit is pressurized. Rockshaft rows will also move.

6. Hold WING WHEELS button and engage SCV to lower machine from high lift position. The wing wheels are extended and main frame wheels retract.

IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to machine, reduce rockshaft rate of drop before lowering hitch. See your tractor operator's manual for more information.

7. Lower tractor rockshaft to disengage latch hooks from hitch tube.

8. Hold FOLD button on control console and engage SCV to unfold machine.

9. With control console in PLANT, engage SCV to lower machine. This will level (rephase) machine. Raise machine to field transport position.
