Leveling the Machine

NOTE: If CCS tanks are empty, it may be necessary to set adjustable downforce systems to zero pressure before lowering machine into planting position and measuring frame height.

Lower machine to planting position with bottom of main frame tube approximately 510 to 560 mm (20 to 22 in.) above the ground. If frame is not 510 to 560 mm (20 to 22 in.) see ADJUSTING FRAME HEIGHT in this section.

Periodically check machine to be certain hitch (A) and planting units (B) are running parallel to the ground.

Lower machine into planting position on level ground and raise or lower hitch (A) until approximately parallel to the ground when in planting position.

NOTE: Do not operate rockshaft in "Draft Control" mode. Rockshaft should be in "Position Control" mode.

Set rockshaft adjustable depth stop (A) to control or limit proper rockshaft operating height.

When planting, parallel arms (A) should be parallel to the ground.

Periodically check machine to be certain planting units are running level.

If center of the machine is high or low, it may be necessary to rephase hydraulic wheel lift system. Completely lower machine and hold SCV lever for several seconds to rephase.
