Setting Electro/Hydraulic Selective Control Valves-7020 and 8000 Series Tractors

Press appropriate touch control switch (A) I through V to set up each SCV for the function attached to it.

LIFT ASSIST WHEELS: (if equipped) Press appropriate touch control switch to adjust lift assist wheel function. Use flow control knob (B) to adjust flow rate (start at 5). Use knob (C) to set time detent at 10 seconds. Adjust in the field as required.

NOTE: 12 ROW MACHINES EQUIPPED WITH WING FOLD: The wing fold cylinders may be plumbed directly to lift assist or to the marker hydraulics (if equipped) using a diverter valve to select desired function.

INDEPENDENT MARKERS: (if equipped): Press appropriate touch control switch to adjust marker raise and lower function. Use flow control knob (B) to adjust flow rate (start at 5-cylinders are orificed). Use knob (C) to set time detent at 6 seconds. Adjust in the field for proper time to extend and retract.

FOLD: Press appropriate touch control switch to adjust fold function. Use flow control knob (B) to adjust flow rate (start at 5). Use knob (C) to set time detent at 20 seconds. Adjust in the field for proper time to extend and retract.

VARIABLE RATE DRIVE (if equipped): Press appropriate touch control switch to adjust hydraulic variable rate motor function. Use flow control knob (B) to set flow level to maximum (10). Use knob (C) to set detent time to CONSTANT. Push tractor SCV lever into detent and release to operate variable rate motor.

NOTE: For vacuum motors connected to separate SCV's, separate touch control switches are used to control each motor.

VACUUM MOTOR(S) CONNECTED TO INDIVIDUAL SCV('S) (if equipped): Press appropriate touch control switch to adjust hydraulic vacuum motor function. Use flow control knob (B) to set desired vacuum level, starting at 2 and working up (inline flow control valve must be set to full open). Start with a low flow setting of 2.0 on display and adjust for correct vacuum level after seeds are on the disk. Use knob (C) to set detent time to CONSTANT. Push tractor SCV lever into detent and release to operate vacuum motor. Place SCV in FLOAT to turn off vacuum motor.

NOTE: For dual vacuum motors connected to single SCV, a single touch control switch is used to control both motors.

DUAL VACUUM MOTORS CONNECTED TO SINGLE SCV: Press appropriate touch control switch to adjust hydraulic vacuum motor function. Set flow control knob (B) to 10. Use inline flow control valves to set desired vacuum level for each motor. Use knob (C) to set detent time to CONSTANT. Push tractor SCV lever into detent and release to operate vacuum motors. Place SCV in FLOAT to turn off vacuum.
