Raising and Lowering Independent Markers

NOTE: A diverter valve is optional equipment to operate independent markers and hydraulic wing-fold on one SCV.

Independent marker control allows marker to be operated independent of machine lift system. Requires a separate tractor SCV (A) dedicated to marker lift.

When marker remote cylinder operating lever (A) is moved rearward marker will raise. When it is moved forward marker will lower. Markers will operate alternately each time lever is cycled fully to both raise and lower marker.

NOTE: The marker in the down position will always raise when SCV lever is moved to marker-raise position.

A marker alternating valve (A), automatically shifts oil flow (so opposite marker can be lowered) each time lever is moved from marker-lower to marker-raise position (even when lever is moved only briefly). In this way the following additional marker functions are possible:

  • One marker can be raised partially (to clear an obstacle) then lowered again by cycling lever twice, quickly (without actually moving markers), until marker function returns to same marker.
  • Both markers can be lowered (as when starting in the middle of a field) by lowering one marker, then quickly cycling lever (without raising that marker) so second marker will lower.
