Raising and Lowering Automatic Markers
If machine is equipped with automatic markers, raising and lowering machine markers will automatically move with frame. When remote cylinder operating lever (A) is moved rearward marker will raise. When it is moved forward, marker will lower. Markers will operate alternately each time lever is cycled fully to both raise and lower marker.
Use marker shut-off valve (B) to shut off markers. Valve (B) will allow markers to raise, even when valve is shut off.
The marker alternating valve (A), automatically shifts oil flow (so opposite marker can be lowered) each time lever is moved from lower to raise position (even when lever is moved only briefly). In this way the following additional marker functions are possible:
-
One marker can be raised partially (to clear an obstacle) then lowered again by cycling the lever twice, quickly (without actually moving the markers), until the marker function returns to the same marker. This does require raising the machine.
-
Both markers can be lowered (as when starting in the middle of a field) by lowering one marker, then quickly cycling lever (without raising that marker) so second marker will lower.
