Vacuum may be controlled using tractor SCV, or may be controlled by planter flow control valve. If using tractor SCV, planter flow control valve should be fully open. Tractor must be equipped with 300 Series SCV's to control flow without planter flow control valves. Incremental changes required are too fine for the Standard SCV valves. Also, standard valves cause extreme vacuum fluctuations when other hydraulic functions are operated.
It is recommended to connect VRD to an SCV if one is available. If an extra SCV in not available, connect to power beyond.
