Adjusting Wing-Fold Operations
Outer Wings 5-Section ONLY
IMPORTANT:
Be sure press wheels are on ground during folding or unfolding to prevent machine damage.
1.
Fold outer wings only and check that they rest on both front and rear stops (A) with cylinders fully retracted.
2.
If outer wings do not rest on stops, unfold wings to field position, turn off tractor and relieve hydraulic pressure.
3.
Loosen clevis set screw (B) and adjust rod in or out as needed. Tighten set screw and check outer wing fold again.
5 Section Inner Wings/3 Section Wings:
IMPORTANT:
Be sure press wheels are on ground during folding or unfolding to prevent machine damage.
5-Section machines require that press wheels be retracted while inner wings are folding to prevent gang interference when wings come together at top of fold. Be sure that press wheels start out on the ground and are retracted ONLY after the inner wings raise off ground in fold process.
4.
Fold outer and inner wings. Check that inner wings fold against both front and rear stops with cylinders fully retracted to the end of rod end slots.
5.
If inner wings do not fold against stops, unfold wings to field position, turn tractor off and relieve hydraulic pressure. See UNFOLDING WINGS in this section for unfolding instructions.
