Detaching Hoe Drill from Seed Cart

causym CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury caused by unexpected movement of the machine:

  • Park machine on level surface.

  • Block hoe drill tires.

  • Lower hoe drill to the ground.

  • Be sure no upward force exists at hitch
    connection, before removing hitch pin.

1. Open clips to disconnect air hose connectors (A). Install coupler cover plates.

2. Disconnect remote seeder switch cable (A).

3. Disconnect Blockage Monitor or Seed Counting System(s)-Communication interface harness if equipped.

causym CAUTION: Serious personal injury can result, if hydraulic hoses are disconnected under pressure.

IMPORTANT: Wings may gradually lower, if pressure is not relieved from wing fold hydraulic systems prior to disconnecting. Fluid trapped in hydraulic system of stored machine may undergo thermal expansion as temperatures increase. Always relieve hydraulic pressure before parking or storing machine.

4. Mechanical SCV Controls: Shut tractor engine off and work levers back and forth before disconnecting hoses.

Electro/Hydraulic SCV Controls: With tractor engine running , place SCV controls in "float" position before disconnecting hoses. Shut tractor engine off.

5. Disconnect lift and wing-fold hoses from hydraulic couplers (A and B).

6. Disconnect warning light cable (C) from plug.

7. Place hoses and warning light plug in storage position on hitch.

8. Attach hitch jack in storage position with pin and quick-lock pin (A). Remove weight from tongue by cranking handle.

9. Remove hitch pin (A) and safety chain (B).

10. Drive tractor and air cart away from hoe drill.
