Meter Drive System Description

Meter drive starts with forward travel of machine and the lowering of drive wheel (A).

The drive wheel turns the drive shaft which in turn drives the transmission. Transmission output speed is adjusted to turn meter fast enough to deliver product at desired application rate. Transmission output shaft runs across the frame to independent half-width disconnects. Half-width disconnects make it possible to turn off one meter while continuing to deliver product from the other meter.
