Drive Shear Protection

IMPORTANT: Do not use any other hardware to replace factory specified shear pin (11m7011) or transmission could be damaged. See your John Deere dealer for correct repair parts.

NOTE: Shear protection value is maximized when shear plates are in contact and shafts are aligned.

3.2 mm diameter cotter shear pin (A) is used to protect drive transmission from damage caused by loading meter with product when fan is not running. To prevent shearing pin, engage meter only when fan is running to avoid overload.

Additional cotter shear pins can be obtained from storage position (B).
