Aligning Disk Opener
IMPORTANT:
To prevent damage to fertilizer openers, any adjustments to opener alignment made on one side of the machine, must be duplicated on the opposite side of the machine. Use caution when folding the machine the first time after maintenance has been completed. Fold machine very slowly to ensure fertilizer openers do not contact each other.
Opener alignment is very important. If any adjustments are made to the fertilizer opener alignment (in relation to the row unit) on one side of the machine, the exact same change needs to be made to the fertilizer opener on the opposite side of the machine. This has to be done to keep the openers from contacting each other when folding. After any adjustments made to fertilizer opener alignment, use caution when folding the machine for the first time after maintenance has been completed. Make sure depth gauge wheels (A) do not hit opposite side opener castings (B).
IMPORTANT:
On certain frame configurations, some opener locations may be limited.
Fertilizer can be placed from 51 mm to 76 mm (2 in. to 3 in.) to the outside of the row.
