Changing Planting Rate Sprocket Combinations-Seed Transmission
NOTE:
Rate charts are based on average planter wheel slip in tilled soil conditions. No-till conditions will likely result in a higher population than what is shown in rate charts. Adjust accordingly. Always verify population and spacing with a field check.
Consult appropriate planting rate chart to determine desired sprocket combinations.
1.
Remove retaining hook (A) from storage position.
2.
Pull chain tightener (B) downward and fasten with hook (A).
3.
Remove required number of rubber sprocket spacers (C).
4.
Remove chain from sprockets. Slide desired driver and driven sprockets (D) into alignment with chain tightener and replace chain.
5.
Replace all rubber sprocket spacers on upper and lower shafts.
6.
Remove hook from chain tightener and reposition in storage clip.
