Setting Selective Control Valves-8000 and 9000 Series Tractors

NOTE: If tractor is not equipped with enough SCV outlets, a Power Beyond Kit is available to power hydraulic motors. An in-line flow control valve kit must also be installed to control vacuum level. See your John Deere dealer.

Press appropriate touch control switch (A) I through V to set up each SCV.

MACHINE FRAME FUNCTIONS: Press touch control switch I to adjust raise, lower, fold functions and CCS fan. Use flow control knob (B) to adjust flow rate. Use knob (C) to set time detent to CONSTANT. Reduce flow rate when folding and unfolding.

INDEPENDENT MARKERS: Press touch control switch II to adjust. Set flow rate to 5 with knob (B) and time detent to 10 seconds with knob (C). Adjust in the field as required.

DUAL VACUUM MOTORS IN SEPARATE SCV's: Press appropriate touch control switch to adjust hydraulic vacuum motor function. Set flow control knob (B) to 4 on the display and adjust for correct vacuum level after seeds are on the disks. Use knob (C) to set detent time to CONSTANT. Push tractor SCV lever into detent and release to operate vacuum motors. Place SCV in FLOAT to turn off vacuum motors.

DUAL VACUUM MOTORS IN SINGLE SCV OR POWER BEYOND: Motors must be controlled with in line flow control valves. If connected to one SCV, set flow control (B) to 10 and time detent (C) to CONSTANT.

VARIABLE RATE DRIVE: (if equipped) Press appropriate touch control switch to adjust hydraulic variable rate motor function. Use flow control knob (B) to set flow level to 10. Use knob (C) to set detent time to CONSTANT. Push tractor SCV lever into detent and release to operate variable rate motor. Place SCV in FLOAT to turn off variable rate motor.
