Proper filtering of liquid fertilizer is important to prevent obstruction of flow dividers or nozzles and damage to
|
piston pump. An 80 mesh main strainer is recommended. It should be checked and cleaned after initial start up, daily or as required thereafter. Obstructions may result in increased manifold pressure readings on gauge.
Fertilizer with excessive contamination can cause increased frequency of main strainer and flow divider clean out requirements. Should this become unacceptable, a coarser 50 mesh screen strainer is available. See your John Deere dealer.
