Markers

IMPORTANT: Before performing any of these checks, be sure hydraulic SCV's are set to maximum flow, the frame control console has power (backlight is on), cleanout switch is in PLANT position and the proper buttons are being pushed for the desired function to be performed.

Symptom Problem Solution

Marker floats off ground.

Machine not down.

Machine should be fully lowered for proper marker operation.

Leaking tractor SCV.

Markers not alternating in automatic mode.

Marker alternating switch on inner right-hand wing wheel module out of adjustment.

Add an additional washer on top of spring loaded pin.

Left marker lowers when not selected.

Valve Y3Lstuck open.

Check for 12V at solenoid.

Check solenoid

Right marker lowers when not selected.

Valve Y3R stuck open.

Check for 12V at solenoid.

Check solenoid

Left marker won't lower.

No power to control box.

Check seven pin connector.

Check inline fuses.

Valve Y3L not energized.

Check for 12V at solenoid.

Check solenoid.

Valve Y3L is stuck closed.

Clean or replace valve.

Check position of switches on frame control box.

Activate switches if incorrect.

Winglet not lowered.

Lower winglet first.

Right marker won't lower.

No power to control box.

Check seven pin connector.

Symptom Problem Solution

Check inline fuses.

Valve Y3R not energized.

Check for 12V at solenoid.

Check solenoid.

Valve Y3R is stuck closed.

Clean or replace valve.

Check position of switches on frame control box.

Activate switches if incorrect.

Winglet not lowered.

Lower winglet first.

Marker operating too fast.

Verify there is an orifice fitting in both the rod end and piston end of the cylinder.

Install orifice fitting.

Air in hydraulic system.

Disconnect cylinder and cycle cylinder to eliminate air.

Shear bolt shears too often.

Marker disk too aggressive.

Reduce angle of marker disk blade.

Can't see marker mark in field.

Marker disk angle not aggressive enough.

Increase angle of marker disk blade.
