Selective Control Valve Lever Stop (55-60 Series Row Crop Tractors)

IMPORTANT: Damage to vacuum pump motor may occur if operated without lever stop (A).

NOTE: To operate the vacuum system with a 55-60 series tractor, the vacuum system must be converted to use an in-line flow control valve to adjust vacuum levels. See your John Deere dealer.

Operation of vacuum meter hydraulic system requires continuous hydraulic system flow. A selective-control-valve (SCV) lever stop must be used to prevent selective-control-valve (SCV) lever from returning to neutral position.

Pump motor will operate when SCV lever is in forward (detent) position. To shut off pump motor, move lever forward into FLOAT position.

Flow control valve must be plugged into retract port on tractor SCV.

To install SCV lever stop, proceed as follows:

1. Push SCV lever (A) forward against float stop (B).

2. Measure dimension (C).

3. Cut rubber stop to dimension (C).

4. Insert rubber stop (A) in slot behind selective control lever with V-groove side down.

5. Move lever from FLOAT to detent position, against rubber stop (A) and release lever. The hydraulics should activate and lever should remain in detent position.

If lever moves back into float position, rubber stop is too long.
