Folding Machine

CAUTION: Be certain everyone is clear of the machine.

Serious injury or death can result from contact with electric lines. Use care when moving or operating this machine near electric lines to avoid contact.

IMPORTANT: Be certain hitch stands are in the raised position. (See Attaching and Detaching section of this manual.)

Use firm, level ground when possible to make unfolding easier. Tractor must be in neutral to allow the tractor to roll slightly when folding.

2. Place WINGLET switch in L position to control left winglet or R position to control right winglet.

3. Activate marker SCV and raise both winglets.

NOTE: Marker will automatically raise when raising designated winglet.

IMPORTANT: If machine is not cycled completely, wheel cylinders will be out of phase. To rephase, completely lower machine.

4. Completely lower machine.

5. Raise machine.

6. Place tractor in neutral.

IMPORTANT: When folding, hitch must be level to prevent wing-wheel module mounting brackets from scratching the paint on the hitch when wing-wheels are raised.

Do not fully raise hitch while folding or structural damage to machine may result.

7. Raise tractor rockshaft until hitch is level (approximately half-raised position).

8. Press the PLANT-TRANS switch to TRANS position.

IMPORTANT: Avoid machine damage. Adjust hitch height to minimize distance between latch hooks (A) and hitch tube (B). Damage may occur if frame contacts latch hooks and/or openers during folding.

9. Press and hold WING WHEEL-FOLD switch in the FOLD position and activate SCV I until machine is folded.

10. Raise hitch to engage latch hooks. After wings are latched, fully raise hitch.

IMPORTANT: Avoid machine damage. Adjust hitch so frame and/or openers don't contact during folding.

11. Press and hold WING WHEEL-FOLD switch in the WING WHEEL position and activate SCV to FULLY RETRACT wing wheels (main frame wheel cylinders will extend further).

IMPORTANT: If the machine will be stored in the folded transport position, some settling of the hydraulic system may occur. If machine is going to be stored in this position, install service locks on center two main frame wheels and lower machine onto service locks.

12. Remove service locks (A) from storage position. Main frame locks are stored on the CCS ladder frame rails.

IMPORTANT: Avoid cylinder damage. Tab on service lock must be on top, facing cylinder.

13. Install service locks (A) onto both outer main frame wheel cylinders with tab on top next to cylinder. Install pin and hair pin to hold in place.

IMPORTANT: Do not transport when machine is resting on the service locks. Raise machine to high lift (off the service locks) position before transporting.

14. Lower machine onto service locks.
