Plateless Metering Units

IMPORTANT: Always keep lids on seed hoppers when planting. If lids are left off, dust and dirt can accumulate in seed metering mechanism, causing excessive wear.

IMPORTANT: Always clean out seed after use.

Store metering assemblies in a clean place while not in use.

1. Meter assemblies can easily be interchanged with finger pick-up seed meters.

2. Replace meters as follows:

a. Remove seed hopper from row unit.

b. Turn hopper upside down and remove two wing nuts (A).

c. Pull meter assembly straight up.

d. Position desired meter on hopper and attach with wing nuts (A).

• Equip machine with finger pick-up metering units to plant all sizes (or mixed sizes) of corn and sunflower seeds. Performance in sunflowers is optimized with use of sunflower finger assembly.
• Equip machine with feed-cup metering units to plant soybeans, edible beans, sorghum or acid-delinted cotton.
• Equip machine with radial bean metering units to plant soybeans.
