Align Jackshaft Couplers-Non Split-Row Machine

1. Unfold machine, completely lower to ground and pull forward slightly to engage drives.

2. If surfaces do not align from side to side, proceed as follows.

a. Measure distance between drive coupler bases.

b. If drive coupler bases are not within ±3 mm (±1/8 in.) of specification, remove cotter pins (B).

Specification

Drive Coupler Separation -Distance 44.5 mm (1 3/4 in.)

c. Transfer washers (C), as needed, from one side of shaft to the other until drive couplers are within specifications.

d. Install cotter pins.

NOTE: If shaft is difficult to rotate, remove chains.

3. Rotate drive couplers by hand and observe alignment of flat surfaces (A). If surfaces remain within 3 mm (1/8 in.) throughout full rotation couplers are aligned properly.

4. If flat surfaces (A) do not align fore/aft when drive couplers are parallel to ground, loosen three carriage bolts (B) and adjust wing bracket (C) fore or aft.

5. If flat surfaces do not align up/down when drive couplers are perpendicular to ground, loosen four carriage bolts (D) and adjust center frame bracket (E) up or down.
