Folding Machine

IMPORTANT: Avoid machine damage. Do NOT route any additional hoses through U-bolt (A).

The U-bolt (A) holding seed delivery hoses is designed to pivot hoses away from tank manifold (B) when folding. Additional hoses installed with field attachments or aftermarket products must NOT be routed through U-bolt. Additional hoses in U-bolt, inhibits its function and can cause planter damage.

CAUTION: Be certain everyone is clear of the machine.

Serious injury or death can result from contact with electric lines. Use care when moving or operating this machine near electric lines to avoid contact.

NOTE: Use firm, level ground when possible to make unfolding easier. Tractor must be in neutral to allow the tractor to roll slightly when unfolding.

Machine can "bulldoze" soil when folding in loose soil conditions. In soft soil conditions, it can be necessary to "power" the tractor forward to prevent this bulldozing.

Machine cannot fold with the wing rockshafts raised.

Markers and CCS fan do not operate when machine is folded.

1. With control console in PLANT, engage SCV to lower machine. This levels (rephase) machine.

2. Raise machine to field transport position.

3. Place control console to TRANS.

4. Place tractor in neutral.

NOTE: The hitch height can be varied to allow latch hooks to cross the hitch tube.

5. TWO-POINT HITCH: Raise tractor rockshaft until hitch is level (half-raised position).

DRAWBAR HITCH: With MARKER-HITCH switch in HITCH position on drawbar hitch control console, activate marker SCV to raise hitch until level (half-raised position).

6. Hold FOLD button on control console and engage SCV to fold machine.

8. Hold ROW LIFT button and engage SCV to raise rear rank row units.

9. Hold WING WHEELS button and engage SCV to raise machine to high lift position. The wing wheels are retracted and main frame wheels extend.
