aCase drain hose MUST be attached PRIOR to any hose being connected.

causym CAUTION: Hydraulic hoses can fail due to physical damage, kinks, age, and exposure. Check hoses regularly. Replace damaged hoses.

IMPORTANT: Vacuum and Variable Rate Drive RETURN hoses, with special tip, MUST be connected to tractor EXTEND port. Avoid damaging pressure spikes; shut vacuum motor and variable rate drive off by placing SCV lever in float position.

NOTE: With two or more vacuum motors connected to a single tractor SCV, planter flow control valves must be used to control vacuum level.

If planter is not equipped with independent markers or vacuum, variable rate drive can be moved from power beyond to an SCV.

When an implement is connected to power beyond on an 8030 Series tractor, the power beyond load sense signal causes the hydraulic pump to maintain high standby pressure during engine start up. This loads the engine causing the engine to crank slowly or not start at all. A low pressure standby kit is available for these tractors. This kit allows the operator to shut off the load sense signal manually, to allow for easier starting. See your John Deere dealer.
