Replace Fertilizer Tubes

1. Raise machine and install service locks on all lift cylinders.

2. Lower machine onto service locks.

causym CAUTION: Disk blades are sharp. Wear protective gloves and handle disks carefully.

3. Remove one opener blade assembly (A).

4. Remove fertilizer supply hose from tube (B).

5. Remove cap screw (A).

6. Pull tube (B) down out of hole in shank (C).

7. Install replacement tube in reverse order and tighten cap screw (A) to specification.

Specification

Fertilizer Tube Retaining Cap Screw -Torque 35 N·m (26 lb.-ft.)

8. Install disk blade and tighten blade retaining nut to specification.

Specification

Blade Retaining Nut -Torque 122 N·m (90 lb.-ft.)

9. Raise machine and remove service locks from lift cylinders.
