Replacing Marker Breakaway Bolt-24 Row
The marker breakaway bolt (A) provides breakaway protection when the marker hits an obstacle.
To replace the breakaway bolt, proceed as follows:
NOTE:
Extra shear bolts (B) are located on marker frame.
1.
Return marker arm to operating position, align hole in bracket (C) with hole in bracket (D) and insert breakaway bolt (A). Install nut on breakaway bolt, but do not tighten at this time.
2.
Adjust bolt (E) until all slack is removed from bracket (C).
3.
Turn bolt (E) an additional one quarter turn and tighten jam nut (F).
4.
Tighten breakaway bolt with nut to specification and secure with additional jam nut.
