Unfolding Machine

causym CAUTION: Be certain everyone is clear of the machine.

Serious injury or death can result from contact with electric lines. Use care when moving or operating this machine near electric lines to avoid contact.

Use firm, level ground when possible to make unfolding easier. Tractor must be in neutral to allow the tractor to roll slightly when unfolding.

1. If machine was stored for a period of time, raise machine up off of service locks.

2. Remove service locks (A) from both outer main frame wheel cylinders.

3. Place main frame service locks (A) in storage position. Locks are stored on the CCS ladder frame rails

4. Press the PLANT-TRANS switch to TRANS position.

5. Place tractor in neutral.

IMPORTANT: When unfolding, hitch must be level to prevent wing-wheel module mounting brackets from scratching the paint on the hitch when wing-wheels are lowered.

Do not fully lower hitch while unfolding or structural damage to machine may result.

6. TWO-POINT HITCH: Raise tractor rockshaft until hitch is level (approximately half-raised position).

DRAWBAR HITCH: With MARKER-HITCH switch in HITCH position on drawbar hitch control console, activate marker SCV to raise hitch until level (approximately half-raised position).

7. Press and hold WING WHEEL-FOLD switch in the WING WHEELS position and activate SCV to FULLY LOWER wing wheels. (Center frame wheels will lower from high lift.)

IMPORTANT: Avoid machine damage. Adjust hitch height to minimize distance between latch hooks (A) and hitch tube (B). Damage may occur if frame contacts latch hooks and/or openers.

8. Lower hitch until latches (A) clear hitch tube (B).

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage to fertilizer openers. Minimize distance between latch hooks (A) and hitch tube (B).

9. Press and hold the WING WHEELS-FOLD switch in the FOLD position and activate SCV lever to unfold machine.

10. Press the PLANT-TRANS switch to PLANT.

IMPORTANT: Avoid machine damage. Adjust hitch so frame and/or openers don't contact during unfolding.

11. Lower frame and hitch simultaneously, keeping hitch level until machine is COMPLETELY lowered.

12. Select AUTO or MAN on the marker mode switch.
