Adjusting Seed and Fertilizer Transmission Wheel Engagement and Stopping Points 12/16 Row

NOTE: Tire scrapers are available. See your John Deere dealer.

The seed and fertilizer transmission engages when machine is lowered into planting position (transmission wheel contacts drive wheel) and disengages when machine is raised.

NOTE: To engage drive sooner - increase dimension (B). To engage drive later - decrease dimension (B).

Adjust cap screw (A), to establish engagement point of transmission wheel with drive wheel. As a starting point, adjust dimension (B) to 200 mm (7-7/8 in.).

If machine is equipped with fertilizer, perform the following on fertilizer transmission.

1. Lower machine into planting position.
2. To establish a stopping point for upward travel, adjust flange nut (A) approximately 13 mm (0.5 in.) from plate (B). This adjustment prevents contact with CCS tank frame.
3. Tighten jam nut.
