Storing the Pneumatic Drill System
IMPORTANT:
Wings may gradually lower, if pressure is not relieved from wing fold hydraulic cylinders. Temperature increases or sunlight can cause thermal expansion of hydraulic fluid. Always relieve pressure before parking or storing machine.
If the drill is to be laid up for a lengthy period, observe the following instructions in addition to those given under WHEN NOT IN USE in the Operating The Pneumatic Drill System section:
If machine will be stored with wings in folded position, relieve hydraulic pressure in wing fold cylinders before disconnecting.
The drill should be laid up under cover and supported on its support legs.
The seed hopper must be emptied completely.
Leave the trapdoor open (to prevent possible damage by rodents).
Cover the seed hopper with a tarpaulin.
Disconnect and remove the switch box and store it in a dry place. The stored values will NOT be deleted.
Protect the drill against rust. If you wish to spray it with oil, use only a type of oil which is readily degradable, such as rapeseed oil.
Unfold the wings.
