Tune Meter Segment Output to Tower Size
Every meter roller delivers enough product for a 12 row tower. Tuning rings reduce product flow to towers with less than 12 rows attached. One tuning ring is used for each row less than 12 (see table below).

1.
Follow delivery tubes and hoses to identify a tower and meter segment pair.
2.
Remove snap ring and bearing plate from beveled end of the roller paired with that tower.
3.
Count number of rows attached to that tower.
4.
Refer to table for the correct number of rings to install on roller. Use rings of the same color as roller.
5.
Soak rings in hot water to ease installation. Position ring on beveled end of roller and drive on with installation tool A61656.
6.
Center all rings so an equal amount of roller flutes are exposed on both sides of rings.
7.
Install roller in proper meter segment.
8.
Repeat procedure for each tower and segment pair.
