Metric EXAMPLE TWO: 5.74 kg x 358.6 x
19 cm
= 39 108.9
Imperial (U.S.) EXAMPLE TWO: 12.65 lb. x 1519 x
7. 5 in.
= 144115.1
23.
Calculate area factor as follows and record the result.
Tool Width m (ft.) x Crank Rotations = Area Factor
Metric EXAMPLE: 12.5 m tool width x 80 turns = 1000
Imperial (U.S.) EXAMPLE: 41 ft. tool width x 80 turns = 3280
24.
Calculate application rate as follows:
Weight Factor ÷ Area Factor = Application Rate kg/ha (lb./acre)
Metric EXAMPLE: 62 780.1 ÷ 1000 = 62.8 kg/ha
Imperial (U.S.) EXAMPLE: 23 0584.2 ÷ 3280 = 70.3 (lb./acre)
25.
If actual rate equals target rate, return half-width disconnect handles and double shoot slide to original positions.
If actual rate does not equal target application rate, perform the following:
NOTE:
See your John Deere dealer for assistance, if needed.
-
Verify that transmission is properly set.
-
Verify that correct sprockets are installed.
-
Verify that tanks did not run out of product over any meter inlet.
-
Verify meter components and meter setup on monitor are properly configured.
-
Calibrate cart tire sensor. (See CONFIGURE TIRE SPEED SENSOR in Monitor Setup section.)
-
Calibrate meter. (See METER CALIBRATION in this section.)
-
Verify proper monitor setup.
-
Verify proper tire pressure.
