Start of Season Guide

1. Read GENERAL GUIDELINE in this section.

2. Select primary Menu button >> Air Cart button >> Configuration softkey >> Tool tab.

  • Verify correct tool model. If model changes, complete entire setup (see Monitor Setup section).
  • If double shoot option is available, check for double shoot or clear for single shoot.
  • If tool has SFP openers, select Dry Fert. box when product is delivered or clear box when no product is delivered.
  • If tool is a dual row spacing machine on wide rows, verify front or rear product delivery.
  • Select next page button and verify or change tank delivery check boxes. Select enter button to confirm changes.
  • Select enter and reduce tool width if overlap on every pass is intended. If any item on this page or next page is altered, tool width defaults back to factory setting.

3. If row spacing changed on dual row spacing tool, change row spacing sprocket on cart.

4. Select primary Menu button >> Air Cart button >> Meters softkey >> Setup tab.

  • Select each tank and enter the product type and target rate.
  • Verify proper meter roller and wear plate is installed in cartridge and entered on monitor. See Meter Operation section. If transmission number exceeds 100, use a higher rate meter roller or deliver product from two tanks with a combined rate equal to target rate.

  • Select next screen button and select enter button.
  • Use transmission number on bottom of screen to set transmission to deliver approximately the rate selected. For the most accurate transmission setting, calibrate the meters, return to the next screen, enter the MDV in the custom box, and select enter to confirm. See Meter Calibration and Rate Verification section.
