Install Proper Drawbar Clevis

IMPORTANT: If tractor has Category (Cat) IV drawbar, it must be used with a Category IV clevis on implement. If tractor has Category V drawbar, it must be used with a Category V clevis on implement.

IMPORTANT: Category (Cat) IV drawbar must be used with 340 and 430 TBT carts.

1. Determine tractor drawbar category rating. Corresponding clevis (A or B) must be installed on implement. See your John Deere Dealer for additional clevis, if needed.

A-Category IV Clevis
B-Category V Clevis
C-Clevis Mounting Hardware

NOTE: Shim washers (B) must be used to remove excess play between clevis and mounting plates.

2. Install correct drawbar clevis using cap screw (A), shim washers (B), flat washer (C) and hex nut (D).

3. Tighten cap screws and nuts to specification.

4. Perform LEVEL TOW-BETWEEN CART procedure to check implement hitch height.
