Installing Heavy-Duty Spring

NOTE: Heavy-duty spring (black) is recommended for no-till and hard soil conditions to maintain proper soil penetration.

1. Remove nut (A) from old spring.

2. Loosen cap screw (B) from casting (C) until cap screw is almost free from casting.

3. Remove pin (D).

4. Remove cap screw (E) securing spring to casting and remove old spring.

5. Keep plates (F) for new spring.

6. Install new spring (A) on cap screw.

NOTE: Flat surfaces on plates must be on top.

7. Install plates (B) removed from old spring.

8. Place spring with plates in mounting bracket and install pin (C).

9. Set down force. See ADJUSTING DOWN FORCE in this section.
