Inspecting Seed Belt-Finger Pick-Up Meter

IMPORTANT: When installing belt, ensure that it is centered in the meter. The pitch of the lower roller can be adjusted by loosening the hardware on belt housing and moving cover up and down by placing a flat screwdriver in the gap between cover and belt driver.

Seed delivery belt and driver should be replaced when wear is observed. If belt is worn (holes are elongated) or stiff it can affect placement of seed to the seed tube. The belt driver wheel should be replaced when driver tabs show sharp edges. Sharp edges on the driver tab can "hook" the belt causing a vibration in the belt area of the meter which could affect seed spacing.

Remove cap screws (A) and belt housing cover (B).

IMPORTANT: If belt is replaced, paddles (A) must be oriented as shown.

To remove belt driver wheel (B), remove spring pins (C).
