Pneumatic Down Force Storage Procedures

When storing machine:

IMPORTANT: Do not remove air from system, air bags must be pressurized, and allowed to leak down slowly to 0 psi.

  • Park machine with 55 kPa (0.5 bar) (8 psi) of air pressure in the system.

When removing from storage:

causym CAUTION: Avoid serious injury from exploding parts due to overpressurization or operating the system without all components in place.

Do not inflate system above 827 kPa (8.2 bar) (120 psi).

Do not remove pressure relief valve.

Do not pressurize system unless all row unit components are in place.

IMPORTANT: Do not operate if a pinched or unrolled air bag occurs. Lower system pressure until air bags can be rolled by hand. Roll air bag back over lower piston. Incremental lowering of machine is required to start air bag rolling over lower piston.

  • Pressurize system to a minimum of 83 kPa (0.8 bar) (12 psi) before raising or lowering machine.
  • Minimum system pressure during operation is 83 kPa (0.8 bar) (12 psi). Failure to hold 83 kPa (0.8 bar) (12 psi) during operation results in damage to air bags.
